Save format directory / Verified relationships

Find tools by save format.

Browse file and save-container hubs tied to existing active Tools. Format pages explain the boundary between a recognizable wrapper, a filename extension, and a genuinely verified game or emulator profile.

01 / Format safety

An extension is not a compatibility guarantee.

Files that share .sav, .srm, .json, or .sl2 can still use unrelated schemas, checksums, encryption, byte order, account binding, or container layouts. SaveEditor keeps those boundaries explicit.

Verified relation

A Tool is linked only after its existing support state is verified and operational.

Preserve originals

Format recognition never removes the need for an untouched backup before edits or conversion.

Profile beats extension

Game/emulator-specific profiles remain narrower than generic filename matching.

02 / Browse formats

Choose the actual file family.

Phase 43 seeds 36 conservative hubs from formats already handled by verified Tools. Empty administrator-added terms remain noindex until active Tool evidence exists.

Structured text & data

Human-readable or delimited structures used by verified local file workflows.

Compression wrappers

Verified bounded wrappers where decompression is distinct from understanding the game data inside.

Patch formats

Binary patch containers that still require the correct source file and revision.

RPG Maker formats

Version-specific RPG Maker JSON and Ruby Marshal families backed by verified profiles.

PlayStation save formats

Legacy PlayStation memory-card and single-save containers with explicit support boundaries.

Nintendo save formats

Raw save-memory and GameCube container formats tied to verified retro workflows.

Emulator-specific formats

Containers whose layout is specific to a named emulator/core rather than a universal extension.

Game-specific containers

Formats with verified game-specific profiles. Similar extensions in other games are not treated as compatible.

Additional formats

Administrator-added format hubs remain separate from verified support claims.
